Chichester Priory Park CC celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2001. There is a proud history of cricket being played in Priory Park and a particularly strong connection with the birth of test cricket. The ground is located within the ancient city walls.
The club has three senior Saturday Mens XI's and plays in the Sussex League, where it regularly competes for honours. In addition, we have a Sunday Development XI called 'Chipmunks'.
We have a thriving junior section with 11 teams aged from U16 down to U9, all playing very competitively. On Monday evenings in excess of 80 junior members U10 attend coaching sessions run by our team of qualified coaches. In their inaugural in 2008 our U13 Girls team became West Sussex Champions and Sussex Champions.
As a club we have the following aims:
- Enjoyable cricket played in the spirit of the game for members of all ages.
- Provide opportunities for all members to develop & play cricket to the highest level.
- Provide facilities of the highest standard.
- Provide a welcoming and friendly environment for all members and visitors.
- Provide a link with the community, providing young people with the opportunity to flourish.
- Provide support for the future development of Sussex CCC
